Legal Practitioner Director of Hassall's Litigation Services Pty Ltd (HLS)
Rowland Hassall commenced his own legal practice in 1979 and went into partnership with John Byrne, forming "Hassall & Byrne", continuing in that partnership until 30 June 2008. Since 1 July 2008 Rowland Hassall has been, sole Legal Practitioner Director of Hassall's Litigation Services Pty Ltd (HLS).
Rowland Hassall was admitted on 1st day of March 1979 and his legal expertise includes:

- Family Law and De Facto matters
- Debt Collection
- Commercial Litigation
- General Litigation
In 1988 Rowland was appointed Chairperson of the Appeals Committee of the Housing Guarantee Fund Limited until 1995, sitting and determining, with the other two members of the Appeals Committee, over 400 domestic building dispute cases. As Chairperson Rowland was responsible for preparing and delivering the reasons for each decision at the conclusion of each case. These cases were complaints by owners regarding builders and appeals by builders for warranty insurance and registration as builders.
The involvement with the Appeals Committee of the Housing Guarantee Fund Limited and debt collection for tradesmen led to an involvement with the Housing Industry Association (HIA). He believes that to effect change in any institution it is necessary to be a part of the institution. He joined the HIA as a member in 1996 and remains a member of HIA.
Since 1996 Rowland has been a Chairperson of the Legal Subcommittee of HIA (Victoria) between August 1999 and April 2001, and was re-elected Chairperson of the Legal Subcommittee in 2009.

Irina Watson was admitted on 26th April 2005 and joined our firm in August 2005. Irina speaks Russian and her legal expertise includes:
